Osinachi’s ‘abusive’ husband, Peter Nwachukwu breaks silence from detention

Osinachi Nwachukwu’s husband, Peter Nwachukwu has finally given his side of the story of how he lost his wife to the cold hands of death.

The husband of late gospel singer, Osinachi has, however, denied the domestic violence allegations leveled against him.

TopNaija recalls that the popular singer, died on Friday, April 8 after being in coma for five days following alleged assaults she received in her marriage from her husband.

Associates of the late Gospel singer confirmed the allegations, accusing Peter Nwachukwu of kicking her in the chest, which lead to her death.

Peter Nwachukwu was immediately detained by the police after the younger brother of the deceased singer reported the matter.

Speaking from police custody, Peter Nwachukwu said his late wife has been battling an illness since November last year, 2021.

He added that he first took her to Federal Medical Center (FMC), later to Gwagwalada General hospital, and then to National hospital, Abuja where she finally died.

He, however, failed to disclose the nature of her illness as against the accusations leveled against him.

Following his confession, Peter Nwachukwu was led in handcuffs and taken to the house to provide evidence of the hospitals he claimed to have taken his deceased wife to for treatment.

Investigation is currently ongoing as an autopsy has been carried out on the singer’s corpse to ascertain the actual cause of death.

The autopsy became necessary after Peter, denied being responsible for her death, or any wrongdoing he was accused of.

While the police await the autopsy test results, TopNaija reports Peter has been transferred to the force headquarters in Abuja for further interrogations.
