President Tinubu Signs Student Loan Bill into Law

Dr. John Metchie, the African Director of the International Association of World Peace Advocates, has conveyed his congratulations to Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his successful inauguration as the 16th elected President and Commander-In-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

In his message, Metchie called on all Nigerians, including those in the opposition, to unite behind President Tinubu and his Vice President, Kashim Shettima, in the task of rebuilding the country and fostering prosperity.

The swearing-in ceremony for President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima took place on Monday at the Eagles Square in Abuja.

Expressing his thoughts on the occasion, Ambassador Metchie emphasized that the power to govern is bestowed by God upon those He chooses and at His appointed time.

He regarded Tinubu’s ascension to the presidency of Nigeria, the most populous nation in Africa, as a reward for the former senator’s years of unwavering commitment, hard work, and dedication to the progress and welfare of Nigeria.

Metchie urged the candidates who participated in the 2023 general election but did not emerge victorious to pursue their ambitions through proper legal channels and find solace in the limitless opportunities that Nigeria offers for the future.

“I want to congratulate His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on the occasion of his inauguration as the President and Commander-In-Chief of Africa’s most populous nation, Nigeria,” Metchie expressed.

He expressed confidence in Tinubu’s ability to lead the nation, citing his reputation as a staunch fighter against military rule and his significant contributions to the growth of democracy in the country. Metchie believed that Tinubu’s track record would guide him in steering Nigeria towards growth, progress, and prosperity.

Metchie further acknowledged Tinubu’s achievements during his tenure as Governor of Lagos State, where he introduced private sector participation in governance, revolutionized internally generated revenue, and spearheaded the development of the Lekki area, which has become a significant industrial hub.

As Nigeria embarks on a new era under President Tinubu’s leadership, Metchie’s message serves as a call for unity and collaboration to overcome challenges, build a brighter future, and harness the nation’s vast potential.
