Neymar’s PSG career, Mom comes to his defense

Football is indeed a very short career, with all that matters being the now and not the then, if it was the then, there is no doubt over Neymar’s talent or the career he built for himself.

But at the moment, the Brazilian faces an uncertain future over his career especially with Ligue 1 club, Paris Saint Germain.

It is said the club wants the player out despite his contract automatically extending, but the French club stands at loggerheads as the Brazilian has no intentions of leaving the Parc Des Princes.

The situation at the club includes Mbappe signing a contract extension which allegedly included a promise that Neymar and Pochettino would see the exit door.

With Pochettino now out, it stands only Neymar facing the exit door.

And following the arrival of 7 time golden ball winner Lionel Messi to the club, PSG left the number 10 shirt for Neymar throughout the season, despite it being the Argentine’s iconic number.

PSG are believed to not want to repeat the same again ahead of next season with discussions being held to take the number from the Brazilian and it over to Messi.

Messi is understood to not be the one behind the move but the Ligue 1 club believing it would only be a fitting beginning to Messi’s PSG career.

With all these in play, Neymar’s mother was asked on her opinion of the whole saga and she had quite a few words to say, stating:

“I know him and how he handles issues, if it’s true the club wants the shirt number, Neymar is a brave boy, he will do what is best for himself,” Nadine revealed.

“He has gained alot of experience about his career and now knows how to handle matters relating to his future.

“The focus remains on the new season and we have seen his contract hit the automatic extension so for now, I still believe that he is with PSG.”

On the move to Chelsea or Manchester City via transfer speculations, she said; “Nothing yet, from us. Nothing”

“They are great clubs in England and play good football, if it’s where Neymar wants to play tomorrow then I will support him to go, but for now, nothing from us.”
