Manchester United star deletes traces of club from social media

This will all end — Manchester United star, Amad Diallo stirs narratives with his social media activity as he deletes every trace of the club from his profile.

Amad Diallo, the 21-year-old winger at Manchester United, has stirred speculation about his future with the club by wiping out all Manchester United-related content from his social media accounts, including Instagram and X.

Diallo, who showcased his talent during a loan spell with Championship side Sunderland last season, has faced challenges in securing first-team minutes since returning to Old Trafford. His progress was hindered by a serious knee injury during pre-season, although he rejoined full training with the first-team squad in December.

However, Diallo has seen limited playing time since then, totaling just 63 minutes across all competitions. This lack of involvement appears to have frustrated the Ivorian winger, who joined Manchester United in 2021 for a reported fee of £37.2 million.

Remarkably, Diallo has purged all content related to the club from his social media profiles, with his Instagram now featuring only posts dedicated to Sunderland. Additionally, he updated his X bio to read, “Tout cela finira…” which translates to, “This will all end”.

Diallo’s impressive performances during his time at Sunderland, where he lifted the PFA Fans’ Player of the Year award and Sunderland’s Young Player of the Year award after scoring 14 goals in 42 games, have not gone unnoticed. Sunderland’s technical director, Kristjaan Speakman, revealed that the club attempted to re-sign Diallo on a six-month loan deal in January.

Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has previously praised Diallo’s abilities, highlighting his ball security, ability to create key actions, deliver final passes, and score goals.

Despite the praises, the Manchester United star continues to struggle to secure consistent first-team opportunities.
