Liverpool ring 7 in a row to leave Manchester United worried

The premier league season always seem to have some excitement about it in times when it involves Liverpool in a chase for either a title or a top 4 finish ever since Jurgen Klopp took reigns, and now, it is Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United that are left feeling worried.

The title race may no longer be interesting judging by how predictable the tie already is with Manchester City running away with it, but premier league fans have other races to interest themselves with as 4 teams are on the hot chase for the top 4 finish.

Liverpool made it 7 in a row with a win over relegation threatened Leicester City, reducing the gap between them and Manchester United and Newcastle United who both sit 3rd and 4th in the league standing.

It was all thanks to the Reds’ dominant display with at one point forgotten Scouser, Curtis Jones turning up on the night to inspire hope over at Merseyside and for Liverpool fans across the globe.

The Liverpool born midfielder broke the deadlock via an assist from Mohamed Salah to put the Reds ahead in the 33rd minute. Jones followed through again via another Salah assist 3 minutes after, to net a second in the 36th minute.

A reborn Trent Alexander Arnold returned in the second half to net a free-kick from yet another Mohamed Salah assist to make things bitter for Leicester City.

Leicester City now sit doomed in the 19th position, desperate to avoid the drop at all cost with the games coming in thick and fast for the Foxes to prove themselves.

Liverpool now with a game in hand, will be watching the resulting outcome from their top 4 rivals, hoping AFC Bournemouth can pull off a shock result against Manchester United or that Brighton and Hove Albion can pull 3 points off Newcastle United in their next fixture.

The possibilities are endless, and football fans are in for an exciting top 4 battle in the coming days.
