"You just don't do that" -- Ian Wright slams Liverpool star

Liverpool have their heads in a bunch after following to a 4-3 defeat at Old Trafford to arch rivals, Manchester United, and for Arsenal legend, Ian Wright, a whole lot of blame falls on Darwin Nunez who allowed the Red Devils back into the game in the late hours of extra time.

The Uruguayan striker played a part in Manchester United’s equalizer that was scored by Marcus Rashford after substitute, Harvey Elliott had gifted the Reds yet another lead after United had equalized to force the game into extra time.

Darwin Nunez’s ill timed back pass to the Liverpool half allowed the Red Devils to intercept the ball and push a counter to nick the Reds.

Speaking on ITV, Ian Wright criticized Nunez heavily for costing Liverpool a place in the semi-final against Coventry City.

According to Wright, the number 9 had every chance to pass the ball to the left-back who was in an attacking position than return it to a dangerous area for a Manchester United equalizer.

In a quote traced to the Arsenal icon, he said;

“You have to look at Darwin Nunez there. What are you doing there? The thing is, he’s got the capability to play it to the left-back. You don’t put it back into that area. You just don’t do that.”
