This thing called purpose and how it can work for my future

It is common knowledge that most people on the face of the earth live below their potentials. Instead of living, most are merely existing and enduring, they are drifting through life just for the sake of it. People waste their lives away because they lack recognition of their bearing in life, neither do they have the faintest idea what to do with their lives. And life without a bearing or purpose remains a burden. Without a specific destination, you are bound to arrive nowhere because our lives are limited by what we see.

You Need Vision

One key difference between those doing great in life and the earlier described set of people is a quality called definiteness of purpose. You may call it a vision, you may call it a dream, and you may call it the future. But irrespective of what you choose to call it, if you must arrive at your desired future, you need to have a clearly defined picture of your desired future. With this, you can create a desirable future. There can’t be a better tomorrow without a vision today, it is today’s vision that guarantees tomorrow’s future. Vision Attracts Provision

You see, without a clear picture of your future, life remains a frustration. But when you have an exact picture of your future, you are instinctively connected to supernatural resources, because every vision attracts provision. Once you’ve got a vision, you’ll eventually attract everything needed. If its money you need, you’ll attract it. If its people you need, you’ll attract them because people always need vision to survive. But you need to see a vision first as there has never been a manifestation in the physical without its initial existence in the intangible.The dreams of today are the realities of tomorrow.

Success Is Replicable

This simply means that if anyone has achieved anything you desire to achieve, you can also do it, and probably even better! All you need do is learn what they learnt, know what they know and do what they do. If you do this consistently, what ultimately happens is that you’ll build enough capacity to eventually achieve what you want to achieve.

The discovery of your passion naturally paves way for you and empowers you to create your own history while doing what makes you happy. In the physical, I have come to realize that there are three fundamental secrets to unlocking your potentials and discovering what you are most passionate about.

Love, Hatred & Time

Love: The first step to discovering what you are most zealous about is by looking inwards to search out those specific chores that command your greatest affection. Everyone, including you, has a deep sense of love for some definite activities.

Hatred: Another dimension to understanding what you’re most passionate about is through keen observation of your dislikes. There are some things that totally put you off when done wrong, the things you strongly long to change if you had the chance, the things you wish could be done differently. You strongly dislike seeing those things being done wrong, that you intensely feel like changing them.

Time: Consciously or unconsciously, some of us find ourselves spending a huge chunk of our time doing certain things. We love doing those peculiar things that we hardly realize how much ever time we’ve invested – that’s another true pointer to our God-given assignment.

Do it yourself

Now, take a pen and paper, list out the things you love doing, the ones you dislike seeing done wrong and the ones you can’t help spending your time with. I mean those things you truly love to do from the bottom of your heart. Narrow down until you have your top three choices. Those are your goldmines, explore them.

Actions Now

Having been privileged to read quite a number of books over the years, I have discovered that knowledge is potential power until it is applied. I mean knowledge itself isn’t power; it is applied knowledge that equals power. This is why great ideas are always unlimited, but only execution skills make the difference. Therefore, beyond dreaming, take deliberate actions to realize your dreams.
