Popular Disc Jockey, Florence Otedola also known as DJ Cuppy has acclaimed that she is underpaid and undervalued in her industry.

The Billionaire heiress, who stated this in an excerpt from an interview she shared in celebration of International Women’s Day on Tuesday 8, also said that women need to be strong to survive in a male-dominated space.

According to her, women have to work twice as hard to get half as much as their male counterparts.

In her words ;

“Going into a male-dominated space, you have to have zeal and be strong. Women have to work twice as hard to get half as much done. Compared to my male counterparts, I‘m still underpaid, undervalued and according to them, I have a particular aesthetic which I fight to this day.”

Advising those who are being told they are not good enough by the men in a male-dominated space, she said…

“My advice is to be at peace with yourself because men in that industry will tell you that you are not good enough. You have to come at peace with yourself and know that you are enough. You will have a difficult time if you work just for validation. Do what you love. Understand your environment and build on your strength.”
