"I'm not stupid to still be with Wayne Rooney" -- Coleen Rooney

Coleen Rooney, wife of former footballer Wayne Rooney, has opened up on her reason for choosing to remain in her marriage despite enduring numerous infidelity scandals that plagued the Manchester United legend.

The 37-year-old, set to feature in an upcoming Disney+ documentary titled “Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story,” emphasized that the intricacies of her relationship with Wayne, also 37, are known only to them.

The Rooneys, who wed in 2008, have faced multiple challenges due to cheating allegations over the years, but Coleen is adamant that their marriage is a private matter.

In an interview with The Sunday Times, she mentioned that her husband is a loving father to their children and excels at bedtime routines.

Coleen believes that love still exists in their relationship, stating, “If there wasn’t, we wouldn’t still be together.”

Coleen expressed her understanding of the public’s tendency to pass judgment on her life but stressed that people only have a superficial view of her marriage.

She asserted,

“I think if you’re in the public eye, people look upon you and think they know you, but they don’t actually. We know each other.”

Acknowledging the opinions of those who may claim they would have left Wayne in her shoes, she maintained that outsiders are unaware of the inner workings of her relationship.

“You can comment on my life all you like, but that’s the way I want to live it. And hopefully, that’s how it always will be,” Coleen affirmed.

In her conversation with the press, Coleen also mentioned that she and Wayne continue to work on their relationship, implying that it is a dynamic process.

As a mother to four children with Wayne, Coleen, whose kids are Kai (13), Klay (10), Kit (seven), and Cass (five), spoke about her private life and how it’s perceived by those close to her.

She remarked,

“They are not in the limelight, and that goes to show, this whole WAG thing, you don’t have to be famous when you’re a footballer’s wife.”

Coleen Rooney acknowledged the existence of genuine friendships among other football mothers but remained cautious about those who might be seeking to befriend her solely based on her status.
