I forgive you—Francis Uzoho to Casemiro

Francis Uzoho is ready to bury the hatchet and call a truce with new Manchester United signing from Real Madrid, Carlos Henrique Casemiro.

The Super Eagles goalkeeper who some time ago had a running in with the Brazilian that resulted in a season long injury and very nearly, a career ending injury, tweeted that he was ready to forgive the former Real Madrid player.

Francis Uzoho and Casemiro had met and played against each other in an international friendly when Brazil met Nigeria in Singapore in 2019.

The clash led Uzoho while attempting to beat the ball away from Casemiro to land awkwardly and twist his knee forcing him out for a lengthy spell.

The injury sidelined Uzoho for a year and could very much have ended the Nigerian’s career before it had almost began.

That specific friendly led to the introduction of Maduka Okoye to make his debut in the eventual 1-1 draw against Brazil.

Francis Uzoho who is a passionate Red Devils’ fan tweeted after the signing of Casemiro to his boyhood club, Manchester United, that he was ready to forgive him. Who said Football cannot heal old wounds?

“You nearly ended my career back then in Singapore but I forgive you totally now cos GGMU,” Uzoho tweeted after the confirmation of the Brazilian into the Manchester United squad.

The signing of Casemiro by Man United seem to have brought hope to the Old Trafford team and to the fans specifically and judging by online comments has lessened the heat on the owners, the Glazers for the time being.

For Francis Uzoho, it took it to heal the grudge he had on Carlos Henrique Casemiro.
