How Boehly sacked me from Chelsea -- Thomas Tuchel spills

New Bayern Munich manager, Thomas Tuchel, has spoken up about his surprise sacking at Chelsea last September, revealing that he was left “shocked” by the decision of Blues co-owner Todd Boehly.

Thomas Tuchel had only been in charge of Chelsea for 100 games before being dismissed, despite having led the team to victory in both the Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup. The German coach had also made several high-profile signings during his tenure, including Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, and Hakim Ziyech.

Speaking about his departure from the club, Tuchel revealed that he was called into a meeting with Boehly at 8 am one morning, where he was informed of his dismissal.

“It was a shock. The meeting only lasted 3-5 minutes at eight in the morning. We all thought we were on the right track and had more time to build something,” Tuchel said.

Despite the surprise of his sacking, Thomas Tuchel stated that he had a good relationship with the people at Chelsea and that he had now found a new challenge in managing Bayern Munich.

Tuchel’s comments have shed light on the circumstances surrounding his departure from Chelsea, which came as a surprise to many in the football world. The coach’s successful record with the team had led many to believe that he would be given more time to continue building on his successes at Stamford Bridge.
