Give Greenwood a second chance -- Man United players

Manchester United players seem to be ready to bury the hatchet in the Mason Greenwood fiasco and according to reports would not mind the player returning to the squad.

This comes courtesy of the UK Sun as the Premier League giant continues to conduct internal investigations to determine the next line of action in the Greenwood sexual misconduct saga.

Manchester United since the Crown Prosecution Service dropped legal charges of attempted rape and assault against the 21-year-old, have faced a plethora of dilemma regarding the English forward.

There are a lot of calls by the United female team calling for his expulsion from the team, while based on UK Sun’s report, Greenwood’s teammates are calling for bygones.

Mason Greenwood has remained suspended by United for the last 18 months after his arrest in January 2022.

The academy graduate since then has not featured for the Red Devils, with the only report on the player stating his return to training with the likes of Anthony Elanga, however away from actual team training at Carrington.

But his team-mates believe he deserves a second chance.

A source for the Sun claims that Greenwood’s teammates believe he deserves a second chance:

“All the players believe he deserves a second chance because he’s innocent in the eyes of the law.

“He didn’t have the opportunity to clear his name in court because the charges were dropped, so the players feel like he has been left in limbo.

“They know it will be difficult but they are willing to support him through it, and protect him.” they were quoted as saying.
