No managerial redemption it seems for former Juventus player and manager, Andrea Pirlo who has once again being hit with a snag in his second managerial stint.

The former midfield maestro has been sacked by Sampdoria after a disappointing start to the season amidst high hopes of leading the club back to the Serie A.

With just one draw and two losses, Sampdoria sits perilously close to the bottom of the Serie B table, forcing the club to make a drastic change to decide its future.

Andrea Pirlo, who once graced the pitch with elegance and vision, has struggled to replicate that success in the dugout. After a brief stint at Juventus in 2020-21, where he was expected to carry the torch of the club’s dominance, his managerial career has seen more downs than ups. His year-long spell at Turkish side Fatih Karagümrük also failed to yield significant results.
