Paul Pogba has opened up about his desire to leave Manchester United—right after his best season at the club.
The Frenchman, who returned to Old Trafford in a record-breaking £89.3m move in 2016, said that despite a standout 2018-19 campaign, he told Ole Gunnar Solskjær and Ed Woodward he wanted out.
Pogba admitted in an exclusive interview that he felt the club wasn’t progressing the way he had hoped, and despite scoring 13 goals with 9 assists, he mentally checked out. “I didn’t want to play for United anymore,” Pogba confessed, detailing how his attempt to leave was blocked by the club.
