Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN) has announced the commencement of petrol distribution from depots to filling stations in Lagos and other states amid ongoing petrol scarcity in the region.

Clement Isong, speaking in Lagos, highlighted the importance of addressing the issue transparently and promptly.

He attributed the low stock during Easter to inadequate restocking at depots, causing disruptions in retail outlets.

Isong reassured the public of resumed supplies and intensified distribution efforts, including extended depot hours and weekends.

Meanwhile, a resurgence of petrol queues across Lagos, with motorists experiencing long lines at filling stations.

This scarcity is exacerbated by delayed payments to overseas traders by NNPC Trading Ltd., further straining the supply chain and impacting independent filling stations.
