"Writing is on the wall" -- Fabrizio Romano on next sacked Manager

Renowned football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has hinted at a potential managerial shift in the Premier League, pointing towards Nottingham Forest’s interest in Nuno Espirito Santo.

In a recent update shared on the X app, Fabrizio Romano disclosed ongoing discussions between Nottingham Forest and Nuno Espirito Santo, suggesting that Steve Cooper’s position as the club’s manager might be under scrutiny due to a run of disappointing results.

“Understand Nottingham Forest are in contact with Nuno Espirito Santo as potential new head coach. Talks are ongoing,” Romano’s tweet outlined.

The former Al Ittihad, Spurs, and Wolves manager has emerged as the top candidate should Nottingham Forest opt to part ways with Steve Cooper.

Currently, Forest is scheduled to face an in-form Bournemouth in their forthcoming league fixture on Saturday, followed by a Boxing Day clash against Newcastle United.

Should Steve Cooper face dismissal, it would mark the second managerial change in the Premier League this season. Chris Wilder recently replaced Paul Heckingbottom at Sheffield United.
