Why I wish I was invited to Yusuf Buhari’s wedding – Naira Marley
Nigerian singer and president of his controversial fan base, “Marlians”, Azeez Fashola a.k.a Naira Marley has said he wished he were invited to the wedding party of Yusuf Buhari, son of President Buhari and Zahra Nasir Bayero.
The controversial musician said this in a post on his Instagram page while reacting to a viral video where guests were dancing to his hit track, ‘coming’.
Naira Marley posted the viral video and wrote “This was at Buhari’s son wedding yesterday in Kano.
“I’m a certified hitmaker apparently, anytime u hear Naira Marley ur home training must japa. I wish I was at this wedding sha.. looks too fun I love them in the north and they love me too”
President Muhammadu Buhari’s son got married on Friday in Kano. The music star back in February spoke about being president in Nigeria.
Naira Marley said if he ever becomes president of Nigeria, he would ban alcohol and legalise weed.
He also said he would ensure 24-hour power supply in the country and promote unity across tribes and religions.
On 10 May 2019, the EFCC arrested Naira Marley and his friends Zlatan, Tiamiu Kayode, Adewunmi Moses, Micheal “Taqueesh” Adenuga and Abubakar Musa. The arrest was made a day after he released the video for the controversial single “Am I A Yahoo Boy”.
On 14 June 2019, he was released from jail fourteen days after being granted ₦2,000,000 bail. A few days later, he released “Soapy”, a track about the sexual habits of inmates in detention.
