What John Terry has to say to Lampard on Chelsea return

Former Chelsea captain and club legend, John Terry, has sent a message of support to his former teammate Frank Lampard following his appointment as the club’s caretaker manager until the end of the season.

On Thursday, Chelsea officially announced Lampard’s appointment as the club’s new manager following the departure of Maurizio Sarri. Lampard, who enjoyed a successful playing career at Stamford Bridge, will now be tasked with leading the Blues to a successful season.

Speaking at his first pre-match press conference as the caretaker manager, Lampard expressed his desire to make a positive impact at the club during his time in charge. “I want to do the best possible role that I can impact the club in the best way in this period. After that, we will see what happens,” he said.

In response to Lampard’s appointment, John Terry took to his Twitter account to wish his former teammate the best of luck in his new role, saying: “Good luck mate.”

John Terry and Lampard formed a formidable partnership during their time at Chelsea, helping the club to win multiple Premier League titles, FA Cups, and a Champions League trophy.

Lampard’s first task as caretaker manager will be to lead Chelsea to victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers in their upcoming Premier League fixture. The Blues will be hoping to improve on their disappointing performance last season and make a strong push for a top-four finish under Lampard’s guidance.
