Premier League top scorers 2022/23 Season

The Premier League once again returns for what would be Matchday 36 for some teams and for others, Matchday 35, specifically for those who have games in hand against their fellow premier league rivals.

And again, we are back with our weekend predictions.

We may not get all the results right, and it is of course, a testament to the unpredictable nature of Europe’s most marketed and viewed league in the world.

So what shockers and awe inspiring moments are in store for viewers this weekend in the premier league? Who wins and who loses? Who gets a footing in the top 4 chase? Who loses out on the premier league title race? And most importantly, who gets closer to the relegation spots than they were prior?

TopNaija’s Premier League Predictions For The Weekend

Leeds United12:30Newcastle United, will kick off the premier league weekend hostilities, and in our prediction, we see Newcastle United play out a 2-2 draw against a Sam Allardyce side looking to avoid the drop to the relegation spot.

Aston Villa15:00Tottenham Hotspur, Tottenham will be looking to clinch a berth in the European spots for next season, whether that is the Champions League, the Europa League or the Conference League, it is still left to debate, but an Unai Emery side will prove the challenge against Tottenham and could hit Spurs with a 3-1 or perhaps a 3-2 defeat at home at Villa Park.

Chelsea15:00Nottingham Forest, this is quite the tricky one, despite the fact the Blues just bounced back to winning ways against AFC Bournemouth. Nottingham aren’t a side to overlook this season, and they went to Anfield and gave Liverpool a scare in a 3-2 defeat.

Frank Lampard will want to take this fixture easy, so we predict Chelsea stealing away a 1-0 or perhaps a 2-1 win as Forest battle against the drop zone.

Crystal Palace15:00Bournemouth, Bournemouth will want to bounce back from the defeat to Chelsea but it will be difficult against Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace, and Palace will have to hand a 4-2 defeat to the Cherries in our prediction for the game.

Manchester United15:00Wolverhampton Wanderers, the Red Devils have had one of the poorest record going away this season, and the fixture against Wolves meets the Old Trafford side well as they get to face the side at home.

Wolverhampton Wanderers recently escaped the fight against relegation in their victory against Aston Villa, and would be looking to improve on their performance. However, Manchester United are in a race to clinch on to the Champions League spot, hence a victory is well on the cards for the Red Devils. A 3-1 win could be the outcome as the Red Devils seek to bounce back from 2 consecutive defeats.

Southampton15:00Fulham, this fixture is a tricky one and in our prediction, we see a stalemate of either a 1-1 draw or a 0-0 draw at Saint Mary’s.

TopNaija’s Premier League Predictions For The Weekend

Brentford14:00West Ham United, this is quite the spectacle for West Ham as they haven’t survived the relegation battle yet, and for Brentford, they will most likely want to improve their form from their last fixture against the Merseyside Reds.

We predict a 1-2 win for the Hammers.

Everton14:00Manchester City, this looks like a game that will cut betting slips, one where Manchester City are expected to steal a win only to disappoint.

We predict a shocker in a 1-0 win for the Toffees to set the premier league conversations going this weekend.

Arsenal16:30Brighton and Hove Albion, this looks like a game that will force the Gunners to a goalless result in a 0-0 score line, with both sides dropping points.

TopNaija’s Premier League Predictions For The Weekend

Leicester City20:00Liverpool, is quite the tricky one, and though Leicester City aren’t in form as the world rightly knows, Liverpool will be careful not to underestimate their opponent. The only way a shocker results from this game, is if Liverpool do not show up at the Kings Power and instead display a rather underwhelming performance.

The fixture has 2 sides to it, one where Liverpool fall to a 2-0 defeat or come out as 0-3 winners to make it 7 wins in 7 consecutive premier league games.
