Probably the least headline a lot of Nigerians would want to read right now, but the Vice President Kashim Shettima pleads for patience from Nigerians as he considers Bola Tinubu a blessing to the country.
Vice President Kashim Shettima has lauded the rise of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to the presidency, describing it as a testament to Tinubu’s altruism and dedication to the nation’s welfare.
Speaking on Friday, March 1 during a courtesy visit by a delegation from the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Shettima commended Tinubu’s journey to the presidency, attributing it to his selfless contributions to the country.
“The road to Tinubu’s presidency was not accidental. This is a man known for his history of making sacrifices for the betterment of our nation,” Shettima remarked.
He further emphasized the divine nature of Tinubu’s success, portraying it as a reward for the sincerity of his intentions. Shettima highlighted Tinubu’s role as a unifying force and refuge for those facing political persecution.
“Tinubu’s presidency is a divine blessing, a recognition of his genuine intentions. He has been a pillar of support and a safe haven for victims of political vendettas,” Shettima stated.
Reflecting on Tinubu’s political legacy, Shettima underscored his pivotal role in providing an alternative platform within the Nigerian political landscape, particularly during times of political uncertainty.
“While other governors grappled for influence during the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Tinubu offered a viable alternative and played a crucial role in shaping the Nigerian political scene,” Shettima concluded.
