The Only Way Maguire Can Play For Manchester United—Ten Hag

Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has encouraged Harry Maguire to carry over his England form for the team.

Maguire had only started one Premier League game since August, raising questions over his inclusion in the 2022 World Cup roster.

However, the 29-year-old was Gareth Southgate’s first option, and he was rewarded with a run of comfortable displays.

Before losing to France in the quarterfinals, Maguire started each of England’s five games in Qatar.

“I’ve been asked many times. It’s clear he is good enough to play at the highest level.

“He has, for England, good games almost all the time. He had a period in Manchester where he performed badly.

“We want him to bring it on the pitch for Manchester United. I expect from him, the team knows what they expect from him. If he does that, he will be a great player for us,” Ten Hag said.

Before joining the Manchester United team for the second half of the season, Maguire will take a brief break.
