Teams Qualified For The Carabao Cup 4th Round

Following the conclusion of Wednesday’s third round matches, at least fifteen (15) clubs have advanced to the fourth round stage of the Carabao Cup for this season.

Wolves, Nottingham Forest, Brighton, Southampton, Newcastle United, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Blackburn Rovers are just a few of the teams who won their games on Wednesday and moved on to the fourth round.

Leeds United was defeated by Wolves 1-0, Nottingham Forest by Tottenham Hotspur 2-0, and Brighton by Arsenal 3-1.

Newcastle United overcame Crystal Palace 3-2 on penalties after a goalless draw, while Southampton defeated Sheffield Wednesday 6-5 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

At the Etihad Stadium, Liverpool overcame Derby County 3-2 on penalties following a 0-0 draw, while West Ham United lost to Blackburn Rovers 10-9 on penalties following a 2-2 draw. Manchester City defeated Chelsea 2-0.

After qualifying on Tuesday, the eight teams are currently in the fourth round together with the seven teams Lincoln City, Bournemouth, MK Dons, Leicester City, Gillingham, Burnley, and Charlton.

The last Carabao Cup third-round match will take place at Old Trafford today (Thursday), pitting Manchester United against Aston Villa.

The winner of Man United vs. Aston Villa will go on to the fourth round along with the other 15 clubs.
