Earlier today, Sunday Adeyemo, a popular Nigerian youth leader better known as Sunday Igboho, visited Ogun to “flush out” killer herdsmen from the state.

Recall that Igboho made news headlines after he issued an ultimatum to Fulani herders in Ibarapa local government area of Oyo state.

His action had sparked tension in the state, leading to the destruction of properties in the area. His house in the Soka area of Ibadan was also torched, days after he went to Ibarapa to effect the quit notice.

As earlier reported by TopNaija, Remmy Hazzan, special adviser on public communications to Dapo Abiodun, Ogun state governor, had hinted that Igboho was welcome to visit the state.

Addressing his supporters in Abeokuta, the Ogun capital, Igboho said his clamour for the eviction of herdsmen is not limited to his hometown in Ibarapa.

“We are here in solidarity with our brothers and sisters. We are being killed by Fulani herders in various states and that’s why we, the youths, came out to demand our rights,” Igboho said.

“That is why I am saying all Fulani herdsmen should vacate Yorubaland. There is peace now in Igangan and that’s not the only place I want peace to reign. We are going to all Yorubaland. I appreciate the Ogun governor; he loves his people and that’s why we are in Ogun state today.

“We are going to Yewa now where Fulani kidnappers are terrorising Yorubas in Ogun state.

“Any Fulani herdsman who engages in kidnapping would be flushed out. Not only Igangan, we are going to visit all Yorubaland and ensure there is peace everywhere.”

Mohammed Adamu, inspector-general of police (IGP), has ordered that Igboho be arrested.

Reacting to the order, Igboho said Yoruba leaders have warned President Muhammadu Buhari that it would be war if he (Buhari) orders his (Igboho’s) arrest.
