Saudi Arabia come for Liverpool's Roberto Firmino

Al Ahli Football Club, based in Saudi Arabia, is reportedly engaged in negotiations to secure the signing of Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino.

Talks are currently ongoing, with the club eagerly awaiting the player’s final decision before proceeding. If the deal goes through, Al Ahli is already preparing for the next steps, including conducting medical examinations, in anticipation of receiving the green light from Roberto Firmino later this week.

The potential transfer of Roberto Firmino to Al Ahli is expected to significantly bolster the team’s attacking prowess. The Brazilian international has been a key figure for Liverpool FC in recent years, playing a crucial role in their domestic and European successes.

Al Ahli is eager to add Firmino’s experience, skill set, and goal-scoring ability to their squad as they aim to challenge for honors in both domestic and continental competitions.

In another major transfer development, Kalidou Koulibaly has completed his move from Napoli to Al Hilal in a permanent transfer worth €23 million.

The Senegalese center-back has signed a three-year deal with the Saudi club, solidifying their defense. Koulibaly will join forces with Portuguese midfielder Rúben Neves, who also recently completed a move to Al Hilal, enhancing the team’s prospects for success in the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, Al Nassr is set to enter negotiations with Inter Milan on Monday to finalize a deal for Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozović. Both the player and the club are reportedly confident about reaching an agreement. Brozović’s potential move to Al Nassr would add significant talent and midfield depth to the Saudi Arabian side, further strengthening their squad.

In response to Brozović’s departure, Inter Milan has identified Davide Frattesi from Sassuolo as a priority target to replace the Croatian midfielder. Talks between the two clubs are expected to progress rapidly in the coming days as Inter looks to secure Frattesi’s services.

Furthermore, Al Ahli is finalizing the medical procedures for Napoli goalkeeper Édou Mendy, scheduled to take place on Monday. Mendy’s move to Al Ahli, if completed, will further enhance their defensive capabilities and provide stability between the posts.

Notably, Hakim Ziyech, the Moroccan winger currently playing for Chelsea, is also on the verge of completing his move to Al Nassr. The negotiations between Chelsea and Al Nassr have reached an advanced stage, and both clubs are confident that the necessary documentation for Ziyech’s transfer will be signed between Monday and Tuesday.

These significant transfer developments highlight the increasing investment and ambition of Saudi Arabian clubs in attracting high-profile players from around the world.

The influx of talent into the Saudi Pro League is expected to raise the level of competition and excitement for fans, as clubs aim to establish themselves as regional and international football powerhouses.
