Reactions as Daniel Regha snubs Toyin Abraham’s request for meeting at event
Nigerian influencer and social critic Daniel Regha responded to popular actress Toyin Abraham after she expressed her desire to meet him in person following his negative review of her movie, ‘Ijakumo.’
Abraham had previously stated that she hoped to confront Regha at the Trendupp Awards so that he could share his criticisms face-to-face.
Abraham emphasized her intention to have a personal conversation with Regha to discuss the areas in which she could improve the movie.
She believed that direct interaction would facilitate better communication and understanding.
Her tweets read; “My darling @DanielRegha hope to see you today face to face at trendupp awards so you can kindly tell me where you need me to improve in film making🙏🙏
I saw your tweet on IJAKUMO and I will be happy to see you so you can tell me where and where to work on. Hope to see other lovely influencers aswell today”

In response, Daniel Regha acknowledged hearing about Abraham’s desire to meet him but revealed that he chose to ignore the request out of respect for her as an actress.
However, he did not shy away from expressing his disappointment with Abraham for supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC) government, particularly in light of the events during the #EndSARS protest in 2020.
Regha further reiterated his previous critique, asserting that the movie was poorly written and directed.
Regha tweeted; “Hi @toyin_abraham1, I was repeatedly told u wanted to see me, but I chose to ignore cos while I respect u as an actress, u supporting this govt after the EndSARS protests, goes against everything I stand for. That said, “Ijakumo” movie was poorly written & directed. No offense.”
