#PMBinKano: Nigerians blast Buhari For Endorsing Ganduje Despite Bribe Scandal

Buhari has received so much flak for supporting Kano State governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

The President was in Kano earlier today and he endorsed Ganduje for a second term in office.

Buhari has been accused of selectively fighting corruption for not condemning Ganduje’s alleged bribery videos. He said last year that the governor was a “very responsible” man.

Ganduje, on his part, has said the videos are “cloned”.

The governor is, however, covered by immunity. Only the State House of Assembly can probe him according to law. Buhari has said repeatedly that he has left the matter to the lawmakers to decide, as his respect to the rule of law.

But the President has been widely criticised for following the rule of law only when it suits him.
