Oyo youth clash kills two, injures many

The Oyo State Joint Security Task Force operatives which codes itself as ‘Operation Burst’ clashed with youths of Iluju community, Oriire Local Government Area of the state on Sunday. This clash claimed two lives and injured many of the community members.

According to an eyewitness, the conflict aggravated when Operation Burst in response to an emergency call from anonymous villagers that a resident named Abiodun was publicly disturbing causing raucous in area.

In furtherance to what TopNaija.ng gathered, the patrol van of the security operatives got to the area in time to arrest the suspect but some of the youths resisted.

Reports roughly revealed that one of the youths got shot by an officer of the patrol team which steered retaliation from the villagers hence, resulting in the death of an officer and the vandalization of their patrol vehicle.
