Zamfara police confirms 16 dead in bandits attack
On Monday, the Police Command in Zamfara, confirmed that 16 persons as against 24 that were report were killed in the attack by bandits in Ganar Kiyawa village of Bukkuyum Local Government Area of the state on Sunday.
Shehu claimed that 16 villagers were killed by the bandits during the attack, not 24 or 20.
“The command, in collaboration with the military, is currently conducting an extensive bush combing of the affected community.
” This is with a view to returning normalcy and apprehending the perpetrators of this bizarre crime,”
He called on the people of the state to continue to support government and security agencies with useful information.
The spokesperson said such cooperation would complement efforts at addressing the security challenges facing the state.
