Nollywood actor Karibi Fubara dies, celebrities mourn [VIDEO]

Talented Nollywood actor, Karibi Fubara, is dead. His family member, Kalanne Fubara, shared the sad news on social media this evening.

 

“He was a warrior, now he’s an angel in heaven,” said a social media post by His sister, Stella Fubara, a top official working with the government of Dubai, where the actor had been undergoing cancer treatment for the past year.

The “God calling” actor was diagnosed with cancer in 2020 and had been in Dubai receiving treatment.

Producer of the ‘Smart Money Woman’ series, Arese Ugwu, mourned the late actor saying, “Such sad sad news. Life can be so cruel. RIP Karibi Fubara. Ours was a professional relationship but you were always so kind, so ready to work, such a team player, such a stand up guy with such an incredible talent.

Actress Osas Ighodaro wrote, “Rest In Peace, Karibi. May God comfort @yolandaokereke, @kalanne_fubara and the entire family. Karibi, you were such an awesome, passionate and cool guy.

“From New York to Nigeria, we worked together. You always had such a good spirit and filled with positivity. I literally messaged you a couple weeks ago to see how you were but didn’t hear back. Sighhh . You will surely be missed warrior.”

Media Mogul, Mo Abudu also shared the video below with her condolences.

Karibi, who married popular Nollywood fashion entrepreneur, Yolanda Okereke in 2019, won many hearts in films such as Smart Money Woman and God Calling.

His death comes a few weeks after veteran actor and comedian, Babatunde Omidina, popularly known as Baba Suwe, died in Lagos.
