Missing 3-year-old, Aminu Bukar, turns up dead in Jigawa

A three-year-old boy, Aminu Bukar, who was reported missing in Guri Local Government Area of Jigawa state, has turned up as a corpse.

Aminu had been reported missing on January 14 by his father, Alhaji Bukar, that his child went missing at about 4:00 p.m in Dolen Zugu Village on the same date.

In a statement on Friday, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, ASP Lawan Shiisu, said a team of policemen swung into action on the receipt of the report and later discovered Aminu’s corpse at Tudun Mai Jambo bush, about one kilometre from the village.

The PPRO said that Aminu was rushed to the hospital and certified dead by a medical doctor.

He said police investigation concluded that there was no foul play in the boy’s death.

Shiisu said the corpse was later released to the relatives for burial.
