Mendy Horror show let’s Leeds give Tuchel the perfect Punishment

Earlier in the week and before the game, Leeds boss, Jesse Marsch warned Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel not to step foot on Elland road, turns out it took a Mendy horror show to explain why.

Is there really anything like the every weekend Premier League drama, as this weekend, Chelsea falls victim to the banter trope slipping to a 3-0 defeat at Elland Road.

It was quite a game that came very much as a surprise to the Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel as the German found himself helpless with his palm leaned to his jaw as he saw his team get pressed by a resilient Leeds United side who came into the game knowing what they wanted.

Of course, Tuchel shouldn’t have showed up for the game considering the red card he received in the previous match against London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, but after an appeal, the Premier League took leniency on the German.

The leniency for some reason ended up as quite the punishment as Tuchel was allowed a front row seat to see a Mendy horror show that gave Leeds United the first lead in the game.

There shouldn’t be anything taken away from Leeds United though seeing as Jesse Marsch’s side went into the game, very much ready and knowing how to play against Chelsea and punish them as well.

Energized by a powerful home crowd, the Whites applied a lot of press on the Blues forcing quite a number of errors on the London side that led to 3 goals from Brendan Aaronson, Rodrigo Moreno and Jack Harrison.

All three men took turns to net past a shaky Chelsea defence and a slumbering Mendy who had a horror show of a game that by his accounts sits below par amongst his worst ever games.

New man, Kalidou Koulibaly was a highlight for the Blues though, both in a positive and negative light, with the negative being the Senegalese receiving marching orders from the referee after a serious foul committed on a Leeds player.
