Manchester United Are Back -- Pep Guardiola

Manchester City’s head coach, Pep Guardiola, has named Manchester United as one of the teams to watch out for in this season’s English Premier League (EPL) title race. According to Guardiola, United has returned to form and can compete with both Man City and Arsenal.

In a recent interview with BT Sport, Guardiola said, “They [Manchester United] are back. I said two or three months ago [Man] United is back. For many reasons, their body language when they celebrate goals, their commitment, and how they run for each other, whereas in the past, it was not like that.”

Guardiola went on to explain that United’s current squad is showing a level of cohesion and teamwork that was lacking in previous seasons. He believes that their improved performance is a sign that they are returning to their former glory, stating, “You feel that this is United. Sooner or later, they should be back. The strangest thing of the last seven or eight years was that they were not there.”

Manchester United has not won the Premier League title since the 2012/2013 season, but this year’s campaign has been promising so far. The Red Devils are currently third in the league standings, just two points behind Manchester City, who sit at the top of the table.

Guardiola’s comments come ahead of the Manchester derby, which is set to take place at Old Trafford later this month. The fixture is always a highly-anticipated one, and this year’s clash is shaping up to be no different, with both teams vying for the top spot in the league.

As the season enters its final stages, it remains to be seen whether Manchester United can continue their impressive form and challenge for the Premier League title. However, with Guardiola now naming them as one of the teams to watch out for, it is clear that the Red Devils are once again seen as a force to be reckoned with in English football.
