Manchester City confirm multiple boosts ahead of Spurs tie

Good news for Manchester City and possibly bad news for Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has been handed a significant injury reprieve ahead of their pivotal Premier League encounter against Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday.

The reigning champions, currently trailing Arsenal by a solitary point, have a golden opportunity to seize the initiative in the title race with just one game remaining. Victory over Spurs would propel City two points clear of the Gunners ahead of the final weekend of the season.

In a welcome development for Guardiola and his squad, midfielder Jack Grealish and defender Nathan Ake have both returned to training ahead of the crucial fixture. Grealish missed City’s previous outing against Fulham due to illness, while Ake was forced off the field in the first half of the same match with an injury.

Providing an update on the duo’s fitness, Guardiola expressed optimism about their availability for Tuesday’s clash.

“Jack has recovered from illness and Nathan was much better yesterday. Now we are going to train, and we will see if he can train later today,” Guardiola informed reporters during his pre-match press conference on Monday.
