Lives Lost As Tanker Explodes On Lagos-Ibadan Expressway
A tanker explosion has rocked the Lagos-Ibadan expressway leading to property damages and loss of lives of citizens.
A report claimed that 10 people got burnt to death while three vehicles were razed down by the tanker explosion on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
The petrol-laden tanker exploded around the Sagamu axis of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Thursday morning, October 20.
Confirming the incident, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Sector Commander in Ogun State, Ahmed Umar, said two tankers, one flatbed trailer, and one car were involved in the explosion that occurred around 1 am on the said date.
According to the FRSC Commander, Umar three of the vehicles were burnt in the inferno.
He also said while 12 persons were involved in the blast, 10 persons were burnt to death while two occupants of the vehicles escaped.
