A video making waves online captured the moment Bayelsa Flood Victims were given a cup of rice each as relief material.

A viral seems to have got people talking right after the Federal Government promised to release millions of naira as a relief fund to the victims of the recent flood in Bayelsa.

In the video, flood victims in the communities in Bagels State were given a cup of rice each as relief material.

The flood victims could be seen holding up the polythene bag with the cup of rice after they were handed by a young man in charge of distributing it.

Of course, this caused mixed reactions among netizens as many tagged the government responsible, as they condemned the Government for distributing such meager items to distressed persons.

An individual who shared the video on the blue bird app, Twitter said;

‘‘I’m so embarrassed, angry and sad at the same time. Imagine the government giving one cup of rice as relief materials to flood victims in Bayelsa who did we offend? Ah! We can’t suffer again like this in the next 8 years o”

However, as at filing this report, it is not clear which group or organization gave out the rice to the flood victims.
