The Lagos State Government has trained public servants in Lagos State Unified Local Government Service on establishment matters.

The ministry of Establishments, Training and Pensions is the organiser of the programme meant to give workers a boost of vitality needed to maximise competence and performance.

At the event held on Tuesday, the Chairman, Local Service Commission, Kamal Bayewu, said the capacity building was to refresh the mind of participants on public service rules, financial regulations, administrative guidelines, and circulars from the Head of Service.

“If Human Resource Officers in the Unified Local Government Service get it right, they will be able to know what to do in every situation they find themselves in and be able to cascade it to the newly employed and other members of staff,” Bayewu said.

He advised participants to optimally utilize the opportunities the training would offer them and apply the various takeaways in the effective discharge of their duties as well as in delivering the THEMES agenda of the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
