Onigbongbo LCDA set to hold public hearing on amendment of bye-laws

The Legislative Arm of the Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Ikeja, Lagos State, has announced plans to conduct a public hearing on amendments to seven bye-laws within the council.

In a statement released on Wednesday in Lagos, the Majority Leader of the LCDA Legislative Arm, Kayode Opayemi (JP), and the Council Clerk, Toyin Oduyemi, disclosed the readiness of the legislative arm to organize the public hearing.

The public hearing is scheduled to take place on May 16 at 11:00 a.m. at the council secretariat located on 2/4 Community Road, Off Allen Avenue, Ikeja.

Among the bye-laws slated for review are the “Rate and Charge Permits (as amended) bye-law (2020),” “Merriment and Entertainment (as amended) bye-law (2020),” and “Foodstuff and regulated premises bye-law as amended (2020).”

Other bylaws to be reviewed include the “Street Naming bye-law (2020),” “Road Usage and other connected purposes bye-law (2020),” “Environment Sanitation bye-law (2020),” and “Vehicle Sales Space bye-law (2020).”

The legislative arm of the council has urged stakeholders and concerned residents to participate in the public hearing and contribute their input towards the growth and development of the council.
