Lagos CP positions mobile policemen in correctional centres
Police Commissioner of Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has deployed extra mobile policemen in the correctional centres in the state.
This was declared after he got the new Controller of Correctional Service, Lagos, Comp Francis Adebisi, and his retinue, at the Police Command head office, Ikeja the state capital.
A concise detail of the meeting was shared on social media by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on Wednesday.
He wrote, “The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu presently playing a host to the new Controller of Correctional Service, Lagos, Comp Francis Adebisi, and his entourage, at the Command Headquarters, Ikeja GRA. It’s in furtherance of the CPs plans to forestall attacks.”

As indicated by him, the CP stated, “I have deployed additional mobile policemen to the correctional centres in Lagos State.”
The decision by the Commissioner of Police might not be unrelated to the attack on the Owerri Correctional Centre in Imo State where more than 1,884 prisoners were released by gunmen on Monday.
The Police Command of Imo State was likewise attacked on the same day by gunmen who set numerous vehicles on fire.
