Jonathan, Wike, Onaiyekan land in Abonnema for Lulu-Briggs burial

Former Nigerian President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, his wife Patience, the representative of the Catholic church, retired Archbishop of Abuja, John Cardinal Onayekan, and Governor Nyesom Wike are presently in Abonnema, Akuku/Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State for the final burial of the late billionaire and philanthropist, High Chief Olu Benson Lulu-Briggs.

 

The late oil mogul and sage died at the age of 88. Massive crowd in the serene riverine community is unprecedented as dignitaries, family, and friends gather for what many have described as a celebration of life.

Jonathan arrived in company with his wife about midday and was received by Governor Wike and his deputy, Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry–Banigo.

Other dignitaries are Minister of States for Petroleum, Chief Timipre Sylva; Nigeria’s Ambassador to Jamaica, Ms Maureen Tamnuno; Former Managing Director of the NDDC, Mr. Timi Alaibe; Minister of State, Mines and Steel, Dr. Uche Ogah; Managing Director of Heritage Bank Plc Mr. Ifie Sekibo, amongst others.
