Joao Felix Will Leave Chelsea After Loan Deal -- Koke Reveals

Atletico Madrid captain, Koke, has revealed that he expects Joao Felix to return to Atletico Madrid after his loan spell at Chelsea comes to an end. The Portuguese forward joined the Premier League giants on loan in the January transfer window, with Chelsea paying Atletico Madrid €11 million for his services until the end of the season.

Felix’s move to Chelsea was motivated by a lack of playing time under manager Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid.

However, Koke believes that Felix is only gaining confidence during his time at Stamford Bridge and is likely to return to Atletico Madrid ahead of next season.

Despite the possibility of Chelsea making the move permanent in the summer, Koke hinted that he expects his teammate to return to Atletico Madrid. Koke stated, “Joao is picking up the rhythm of the games, he is gaining confidence for the coming season to come back here.”

Felix has been impressive during his short spell at Chelsea, featuring in eight games across competitions and scoring one goal. However, he has a long-term contract with Atletico Madrid that will expire in 2027.

Atletico Madrid will hope that Felix can rediscover his form with the club and help them in their pursuit of La Liga glory. The club is currently sitting in second place, just three points behind league leaders Real Madrid, and they will look to close the gap in the coming weeks.
