How 9 persons were burnt to death in Nasarawa State

Tragedy struck as about nine individuals lost their lives due to a fire outbreak in 2023 in Nasarawa State.

Mr. Ombugu Joshua, the Nasarawa State Chieft Fire Officer, during an interview with Daily Trust on Thursday, revealed that about 18 lives in the year review were saved thanks to the agency. He also said that property worth N1,002,092,000m were displaced and a total of N45,986,090,000.00 property saved by the agency.

While speaking on the causes of fire outbreak, he posited that 80 percent were due to negligence and carelessness.

He, therefore, advised residents to always switch off all their appliances, saying it would go a long way in reducing fire incidents.
