Gunmen Kidnap Businessman And His Assistant In Kwara State

A businessman, together with his assistant, have been kidnapped by suspected gang members in Jebba community in Kwara State.

TopNaija understands that the suspected gunmen invaded the house of the businessman, identified as Sikiru Bosere, at the Labour Camp area of Jebba, Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State in the early hours of Monday, September 25, 2023.

The gunmen kidnapped Sikiru, who works in the charcoal industry, and his assistant, identified as Mr. Philemon.

Philemon was eventually freed and is now being treated at a private hospital in Jebba.

SP Okasanmi Ajayi, spokesperson for the State Police Command, verified the event and said that attempts are on to rescue the businessman.

“A case of kidnapping was received early this morning, one victim already rescued while efforts are ongoing to rescue the remaining victim and possibly arrest the kidnappers,” the PPRO stated.
