Gbajabiamila mourns as PDP house of reps-elect dies in Abuja

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila has mourned the passing of Taraba House member-elect, Hon. Isma’ila Yushau Maihanchi.

Topnaija reports that Maihanchi died at the age of 36 after battling with an undisclosed illness.

The PDP chieftain fell sick immediately after he defeated his opponents in the APC, SDP and NNPP to win the Jalingo/Yorro/Zing Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives seat.

He later died in an Abuja hospital in the early hours of Saturday.

Reacting to the lawmaker’s demise, Gbajabiamila said he was both shocked and sad as he described the tragic incident as devastating and disheartening.

Gbajabiamila testified that the Taraba politician was one Nigerian who was ready to serve his people diligently.

The Speaker expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late politician, the people and the government of Taraba State, especially his constituents at Jalingo/Yorro/Zing Federal Constituency.
