Fire guts residential building in Ikoyi

Residential building in the Ikoyi area 9f Lagos was reported to have gone up in flames.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has confirmed that a residential building in the Ikoyi area of Lagos State was gutted by fire today June 15.

The incident was reported to have occurred along the Ilabere Road in Ikoyi.

Permanent Secretary of LASEMA, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, not confirming if any lives were lost, said LASEMA swiftly deployed officials of its response team to the scene as soon as it was reported.

A LASEMA team, in collaboration with personnel of the Lagos State Fire Service, is taking measures to quell the fire which appears to be spreading rapidly to adjoining buildings.

The statement read;

The Lagos state emergency management agency, LASEMA, has activated its response team to the above location.

A combined team of agency LRT and the Lagos State Fire Service are taking immediate action to quell the residential fire which appears to be spreading rapidly to adjoining properties.
