Cup Final: Chelsea vs. Liverpool -- Confirmed Lineup

The day breaks and kickoff approaches for Liverpool to face Chelsea at Wembley in the Carabao Cup final.

It is a day of tension, fear and excitement for fans of both teams no matter how the narratives paints things as. Like they say, it is a game that pits the Blues against the Reds, London versus Merseyside, ‘favorites’ versus the ‘underdogs.

But one thing is to be expected, despite the tension, the fear or the elation, a promise of entertainment as a new Chelsea side is set to face off a new look Liverpool team in what stands as a rematch of the 2021/22 fixture.

With both teams having won each other apiece in 4 finals of the domestic cups, they once more return to grand stage of Wembley to go one time better over the other for glory sake and for bragging rights.

Though not considered a derby, a Chelsea versus Liverpool tie has nothing friendly about it, especially in a final. For the Blues and Mauricio Pochettino, winning this clash means their season ends on a positive note not minding how their premier league position ends come end of the season. It will also mark the beginning of a new era under the Todd Boehly consortium.

However, for the Reds, victory here begins a bitter-sweet end to Jurgen Klopp’s legacy at Liverpool, and keeps them motivated and on course for what could be the quadruple — a chance that went begging at the end of the 2021/22 season where the Reds faltered to Manchester City and Real Madrid in the premier league and Champions League, respectively.

Here goes the Confirmed Lineup;
