It can be recalled that Osun State High Court sitting in Osogbo remanded the owner of Hilton Hotels, Ile-Ife, Dr Rahmon Adedoyin, and six others in connection with the death of a Master’s student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Timothy Adegoke, in Ilesa correctional facility.

Even though the court observed that the charges laid against Dr. Adedoyin were eligible for bail, it noted that they were serious felony charges that could attract jail term, it was reported that Osun State High Court sitting in Osogbo has declined the bail applications filed of all the defendants arraigned in connection with the death of the Master’s Degree student, meanwhile, the court had earlier dismissed a bail application of the owner of Hilton Royal Hilton, Ile-Ife, Dr. Ramon Adedoyin.

Justice Adepele Ojo dismissed the applications, while ruling on the bail applications of other six defendants namely; Adedeji Adesola, Magdalene Chiefuna, Adeniyi Aderogba, Oluwale Lawrence, Oyetunde Kazeem and Adebayo Kunle.

Adepele Ojo said “the health reasons that the applications were based on could not be relied on as the defendants’ health could not be said to be threatened.”
Adedoyin and six others arrested in connection with the death of Timothy Adegoke has been arraigned and remanded till Monday for ruling on their bail applications.
