Buhari celebrates Independence Day with Jonathan [PHOTOS]

The immediate past president, Goodluck Jonathan, and Patience, his wife, were among the dignitaries that attended the 60th Independence Day celebrations in Abuja, TopNaija reports.
The event took place at Eagle Square in the nation’s capital.
President Muhammadu Buhari and Aisha, his wife; Yemi Osinbajo, vice-president; Femi Gbajabiamila, speaker of the house of representatives; Ahmad Lawan, senate president; Yakubu Gowon, former head of state, and Tanko Muhammad, chief justice of Nigeria, were also in attendance.
Independence Day is an official national holiday in Nigeria, celebrated on the first of October. It marks Nigeria’s proclamation of independence from British rule on 1 October 1960.
