Breaking: Fire guts Eko bridge

Alternative roads have been cleared for vehicles to pass due to fire outbreak under the Eko Bridge, Apongbon area, Lagos State.

Sources explained to TopNaija.ng correspondents that, the fire started 7am and to there fortune, no live was lost.

As at the time of this report, the cause of the fire had not been established.

The Lagos Fire and Rescue Team are now currently in place and putting out the inferno.

To prevent any possible loss of lives and properties, the bridge has been blocked for the time being. Motorists have been redirected to ply alternative routes as the bridge is still in no condition to be used, following the damages from the fire.
