Billionaire Tony Elumelu responds to claims that Nigerian President, Tinubu plans to make him CBN governor

Tony Elumelu, a popular businessman, has denied allegations stating that Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu planned to make him the next governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.

TopNaija reports that the Chair Heirs Holdings and Transcorp came online to dismiss the claims made by X, formerly Twitter user, identified as Imran Muhammad.

Taking to the platform, Imran stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has considered appointing Tony as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

“According to a Source President Tinubu is also considering Tony O. Elumelu as CBN Governor,” he wrote.

In response, Tony Elumelu asserted that the news is false.

“LOL. No, please. This is false news! ,” he wrote.
