Bandits finally release 27 Kaduna forestry college students

The 27 students kidnapped by bandits from Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka, in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State have been freed, Top Naija gathered.

One of the people who received the students disclosed that the release was assisted by the Sheikh Ahmad Gumi discussion committee with help from Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo.

The students were among the 37 kidnapped almost two months ago.

After parents and school management paid a ransom, the bandits only freed 10 of the victims.

The kidnappers had originally demanded a N500 million ransom from the Kaduna State Government but Governor Nasir El-Rufai refused the alternative of negotiation, stating that bandits deserve to be murdered.
